The story of Personal Art ...
It's a story that began in 1985 and continues today.
The Personal Art story is one of commitment to excellence, in product, service, and setting.
First established in 1985 as a smaller version of itself ("Tattoos By Jeanne"), Personal Art has consistently been a purposeful pursuit of quality: art on a body canvas, in a warm and inviting studio setting.
Outstanding Art - Customer Service - Commitment To Excellence
These are the three pillars of our studio. These pillars have stood the "test of time" in an industry that looks much different in 2019 than it did in 1978.
1978 was the year that Jeanne made her way to the tattoo scene, via a traditional tattooing apprenticeship. It was December of 1978 that she co-founded "Roy Boy's Place" (Indiana's first-ever tattoo establishment). After years of hard work and multiple magazine features, there was a growing demand for her tattoo services and her perspective: tattoos should be personal to the individual and not just a replicated pattern from pre-drawn flash.
Leaving her "tattoo roots" of the more traditional tattoo shop environment, in 1985 Jeanne established the beginning of her vision of how tattooing should be offered to people. She began creating a comfortable studio of talented artists who help people express their personal message.
Three decades and multiple awards later, Personal Art continues to offer its clients outstanding, personalized service and custom designing in a very comfortable studio.
